I think there are many differences between these two pictures. Both pictures are related to people’s way of living. The first picture refers to a big city which is very crowded, high population and has nice buildings. Fore example, many people like to live in city because it is very convenient and good way of life. On the other hand the second picture is refering a village.
Most people living in this area are farmers and important for farm area.

I was living in a crowded city before I came to New Zealand, not as much as crowded Auckland. In my opinion both pictures are important in terms of way of living, but I really like rural life because it has nice environment for example, fresh air, less Pollution and fresh dairy and vegetable products. In contrast, living at urban has more facilities especially for education and business.
